Free crochet pattern to make this fun twin v stitch afghan! This is a quick pattern to master made up of double crochet and chain stitches. Change up the colors to suite your taste. Our sample afghan uses a variegated yarn as the main color (mc) with a solid yellow for contrast. The options to customize this are only limited by your imagination.

Materials and Supplies
9 - 5oz Skeins Red Heart Super Saver worsted weight yarn; color Marrakesh
2 - 7oz Skeins Red Heart Super Saver worsted weight yarn; color Cornmeal
Abbreviations:
cc = contrasting color
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
mc = main color
rep = repeat
sk = skip
st(s) = stitch (es)
tch = turning chain
Craft Instructions
With mc ch 164
Row 1: 2dc into 5th ch from hook, 2 dc into next ch, *sk 2 ch, 2 dc into each of next 2 ch; rep from * to last 2 ch, sk 1 ch, dc into last ch, turn
Row 2: Ch 3, *sk 2 sts, 2 dc into each of next 2 sts; rep from * to last 2 sts, sk 1 st, dc into tch, turn
Continue working Row 2 for 8 more rows
*With cc work 2 rows of "Row 2"
Change to mc and work 10 rows of "Row 2"
Repeat from star 8 more times (You will have a total of 10 stripes of the main color and 9 stripes of the contrasting color)
Border:
Change to cc, turn, 1 dc in each stitch across, 4 dc in corner stitch
Working up 1st side dc evenly up side so that stitches lay flat and are evenly spaced. I placed one dc into each ch
formed at the end of every row. 4dc in corner stitch
Work 1 dc in each chain across, 4 dc in corner stitch
Working down last side,

Notes:
If you want to make the afghan wider, increase the number of chain stitches in the base chain by a multiple of 4. Add more rows to obtain the desired length.
